Enjoy a retreat in the Vermont woodlands at the SunDo Retreat Center! Practice Taoist breathwork, postures and meditation, attend holistic health workshops and walk the forest

trails through 72 acres of fields and forests.

Retreat Details

Please arrive by 4 PM for an orientation followed by a welcome practice at 4:30 PM. Dinner is served at 6 PM. A full schedule of classes and workshops will be available upon arrival. On the last day, the retreat program ends at 8:30 AM to allow time for packing and a farewell Sunday brunch at 9 AM. For any additional info, please email us with questions.

Workshop Spotlights

Fluid Meditation ... Friday 8/4 from 2-5 PM

Join us for an investigation into the relationship between SunDo-Taoist meditation and the tidal pulsations of the cerebral-spinal fluid. Focusing on SunDo's microcosmic orbit (Qi energy circulation) meditation, researchers explain how breath and meditation influence our cerebral-spinal fluid rhythms. When these rhythms are expressed in fullness and balance, health and well-being naturally follow.

Korean Contemporary Dance Performance ... Saturday 8/5

Artistic director, Kim Eun Hee, is a well-known Korean dance choreographer acclaimed for her own peculiar mood, concentration and supple movement pieces. She both a dancer and choreographer with strong endurance and flexibility.  View dance video...

Travel & Accomodations

The SunDo Retreat Center is located just minutes from exit 18 off I-91 in Vermont. It is about 5 miles south of St. Johnsbury VT, about a 45 minutes drive from Montpelier VT and about a 2 hour drive from Burlington VT.

Rustic accomodations include tenting sites or indoor sleeping spaces available in shared quarters (6-8 people per space). Extra tents, sleeping bags and mats are available upon request. Please contact us with questions.
