Since 1979, SunDo Mountain Taoism has grown from a small practice group to a worldwide organization that has helped thousands of individuals attain better health through Taoist Yoga & Meditation. Over the last decade, SunDo has developed the SunDo Retreat Center, an educational source for health and peace promotion.
SunDo has now given top priority to planning and commencing a capital campaign that will provide funding for new infrastructure and buildings at the Retreat Center. The goal of this Capital Campaign is to raise funds through a combination of membership donations and grant funding. Presently, the Center's facilities are very small, with adequate space for only 12 to 15 people. In addition, these facilities have begun to deteriorate with age and now require repairs such as new floors and windows. The capital campaign will help fund new sleeping cabins, and a main kitchen and dining hall building.
If you are interested in donating and would like to consider a naming opportunity, please contact the Main SunDo Center in Connecticut at 860.523.5260. We have naming opportunities available for all Phase II and III structures, listed under the sidebar's Building Initiatives.
Features of the main kitchen and dining hall will include: a fully equipped kitchen, dining hall space for at least 70 people, an office with reception area, and two bathrooms. Please check back soon for floorplans of the new building!
Master Hyunmoon Kim announces the new Retreat Center building plans.

Mr. Lee's website to see examples of his work.
The impact of these new facilities will be felt in many ways. The number of people attending SunDo retreats for healing purposes will increase substantially. We will be able to offer health programs to groups in need, such as inner-city youth or people coping with stress-related illnesses. And, we will be able to develop innovative mind-body training programs for health practitioners who would like to incorporate alternative healing therapies such as SunDo into their practices.
The combined impact of the new buildings will create an exemplary educational center for instruction in SunDo Taoist Yoga & Meditation. Educating people about SunDo-Taoist principles helps us to fulfill our core mission of promoting holistic health for personal growth, world healing and a better society.
